That’s Intriguing #96: Do You and Your Business Stand Out?

I agree with Jerry Garcia.

The world does not need “another _____.” “Another” web designer, coffee shop, self-help author, motivational speaker, chiropractor or dry cleaner. The world is full of them.

It needs business owners who have clarified exactly who they are, what they stand for, what they don’t stand for, and what they have to offer that is SPECIAL.

And you need to be able to communicate that SPECIAL-T – why you’re unique and the best at what you do – in 60 seconds or less.

This was brought home to me at a conference I spoke at recently that catered to coaches, and the problem was, almost everyone there defined him or herself as a “life coach.”

What does that mean exactly?

It means, how could a potential client possibly differentiate between you from the crowd?

How can they determine you’re the best one, the only one, who could deliver what they want?

So when they choose you, they feel that they are acting in confidence.

Do you own a business?

If so, my question to you is, “What’s your SPECIAL-T?”

What’s the special talent you have that no one else has, that can’t be found anywhere else?

What unique EEE – Expertise, Experience, Epiphanies – do you have that your target clients would gladly pay for?

What can you do for them – what problem can you solve, what service can you provide – that they urgently need that would compel them to get out their wallet, checkbook, or credit card and sign on the dotted line?

And can you get that across… in 60 seconds or less?
